Welcome... to the experience that is Peggy Burke
On June 5, 2007, there was a dedication of Peggy Burke's sculpture, Dolphin's
Leap
.   Cast in bronze in 1982, the  47" sculpture was then Untitled.   During this
process in Peggy's current evolution, she decided to 'give it a name'.

The  Abbottswood community of Verra Springs and staff, were present to unveil
the piece, which now lives in a beautiful courtyard near the dining area of Verra
Springs.   Several of Peggy's close friends came to enjoy the event.
Catharine Sutherland, one of the Assistant
Wellness Directors at Abbotswood, did a beautiful
job coordinating events.   The sculpture was
draped and tied with a large red ribbon and there
was a red ribboned red rose corsage, for Peggy.

Nancy Pitkin, another Assistant Wellness Director
at Abbotswood read a wonderful poem by Horace
Dobbs about Dolphins, and she read Peggy's bio
from her website.   Several guests had questions
for Peggy about her work.

There was a ribbon cutting, and Viola!   Dolphin's
Leap was uncovered and friends and staff were
treated to a wonderful example of Peggy's life
long work.

A lovely brunch of juice, coffee and homemade
scones was served after the dedication.
